Ingredients
25 pieces ginger
2 pineapples, unpeeled and cut into pieces
2 teaspoons yeast
1 gallon water
3½ cups molasses
- Beat ginger pieces in a large kettle until soft.
- Add pineapple and yeast.
- Boil water and pour into ginger mixture. Let stand overnight.
- Strain, and add the molasses.
- Chill and serve.
